How To Get Rich Blogging Step Eight

Hello, and welcome back to the series on How To Get Rich Blogging. We've covered a lot of ground in the previous post. If you haven't read them, then CLICK HERE and get caught up. Because it's all about helping you build a profitable blog. Today, we're going to cover the importance of stabilizing your brand.

<h1>Many people start blogs without strategizing and thinking the whole process all the way through. Yet, there are many elements to truly maximizing your profitable blog. One of those elements happens to be branding.<h1>

Branding isn't some deep intellectual component often related to big corporations, but it's pretty simple when considering it for blogging.

When thinking about your blog brand, I want you to get very specific in terms of logo,  theme colors, and blog style. What do you want your blog to look like?  What do you want people to think about when they encounter your blog? What are a few things you don't want people to experience when they encounter your blog?

For instance, when I started to understand blog branding, one thing I didn't want people to experience through my blogs was confusion. I had been through so much bull crap online trying to find basic answers to my questions that I never wanted anyone who visited me on the web to feel confused.

HERE IS HOW I PREVENT CONFUSION ON MY BLOG

  • Make it clear what my blog is about
  • Make it clear what services I'm offering on it
  • Make it clear how to get results
  • Get to the "dam" point of things
Delivering on your brand is super important because you want to get results, and you want the people who come to you for your expertise to get results. Sometimes that is hard to do when visitors can't get through the first sentence of your post without popups, invasion of colors, and sale pitches. In fact, some visitors never make it to your blog because they can't get past all of the distractions to get that far.

SOME BENEFITS TO STABILIZING YOUR BRAND
  • You stand out from the crowd
  • You become a stable source of information
  • People trust you because your site is clear, concise, and informative
  • Visitors come back because they can actually access and understand your material
HERE'S HOW TO STABILIZE YOUR BRAND

  • Create a logo; Yes, and as aggravating as it is to remember, use it. Be sure to add it to images, websites, blogs, and other content. You can use Canva or other places like Logo Creator to make one.
  • Pick  3 main brand colors such as bold, complementary, and neutral (see the image of my brand colors below for an example). You only need 3 to 4 but you can expand those colors over time.

When thinking of brand colors try to stay within a certain range.  I pretty much based my colors on my main blog's preexisting color scheme. All I did was download Color Zilla from Chrome Extensions to find the colors that were already in my preexisting blog theme. I break-down branding in my Pinterest Marketing Course. I even show you how to create brand boards so you're consistent with the style and feel of your blog and content.  There are tons of places to find design ideas. A great way to find preexisting color schemes is to head over to Pinterest and type in color schemes.  I provide a lot more options in the course.

  • <h2>Develop your style. Are you going for a classic, rustic, or urban look? Of course, there are many options, but you've got to determine what you want the look and feel of your blog to be. I do go into detail about this in the course, but you can start thinking about it now. Pixabay and Unsplash are great places for you to find stock photo images. Trust me, you'll want to stick with a certain theme of high-quality photos though. Again, what category of style are you going for? Also, consider if you'd like vertical or horizontal photos on your blog. Think about the kind of photos you want to. Do you want people photos, floral photos, or business photos? Follow the theme and style for a consistent look? No need to copy it, but just figure out what you want, and stick with it. If you want to get rich blogging, people have to be inspired by your blog. Show them that it's a great and stable environment to learn more about the topic at hand.<h2>

  • Create culture. Yes, Yes! Your blog needs a certain kind of vibe to it. The culture of your blog should reflect the mindset of your target market.  For instance, I joined a group once that was all about Empowerment. The culture was a hippie and laid back culture. We talking about flip flops and wife beaters. It sort of resembled that of people who were tired of the 9-5 grind. They were rebelling against the typical shirt and tie idea. They wanted FREEDOM! Oh yes, it was exciting and fun, and social. I spent thousands of dollars there, but I paid more for the culture and the experience than I did for the actual information. What message are you sending to your audience with your blog?
When thinking about culture, consider that one of the human basic needs is to feel a sense of belonging. People want to feel as though they are a part of a pack. How does your blog or how will your blog make people feel? What will be special about it? What will they belong to?

At this point, many of you still haven't built your blog because we are still strategically mapping things out. Please forgive me for whatever "tense" I may be speaking in. However, you can write in your planner details about your brand. Keep in mind logos, colors, style, and culture when you do!

<h3>Truthfully, if you want to build a profitable blog and get rich blogging, you've got to consider your brand. Yes, there are short-term landing pages and things that can get you an instant look and design. However, you've got to determine if you're in this for the long haul or not. Also, the more debt-free your business is the better. If you build stable blogs online using things like Managed WordPress and plugins like Element or, then you'll save on your expenses over time and create a stable environment for your visitors, leads, and customers.<h3>

The best thing to remember about profitable blogging is that everything is intentional. Nothing just happens. What do you want to happen? How are you going to position your blog to make it happen? Those questions are a big part of the blog brand process!
