Hello and welcome to my series on The 1 Minute Guide To Blog Profits. In this series, we're going to be breaking down the critical aspects of blogging for profits. As a blogger, it's not easy to actually earn money from your blogging platform.
Let's face it, you've got to create great content that takes planning, editing, and time among the millions of other things you have to do. In addition to great content, you've got to get traffic because without blog traffic there are no blog profits.
Once you finally start to get traffic, you need people to actually buy things so that you can make a profit from all of your hard work. I get it, but that's the kind of thinking that is actually preventing a lot of people from earning money as a blogger.
Here's why. Blogging for profits has little to do with you, your wants, and your needs and everything to do with your audience and their needs.
One of the most important aspects of how to make money blogging is to write out a vision plan for the overall purpose of your blog. The vision plan should include what I call O.A.M. It should outline the:
Objective: Why does your blog exist? What problems does it solve in the marketplace, and how is it relevant to today's consumers?
Advantage: What is your unique selling position? How is your blog more effective than others within your niche?
Measurable: What are some measurable results that consumers can expect to get from your content? In other words, does your blog help people do something that they can track and credit to you for the results?
O.A.M. is key to success with any blog. It’s more about the consumer and less about you. What are their needs, wants, and desires? When you can deliver O.A.M. to the right audience, you will overcome every single income limitation and make money blogging.
